DESCRIPTION
This course equips learners with the skills and knowledge necessary for employment as team leader/supervisor in an Early Childhood setting.
In addition it gives students knowledge and skills to work as Special Needs Assistants in a range of settings.
Students must complete a minimum of 120 hours of placement in a registered childcare setting or recognised primary school
Garda vetting is mandatory for this course and is organised by the College.

Employment
Many learners choose to move directly to employment as Special Needs Assistant or in a range of other Early Learning and Care Settings.
This level 6 qualification allows graduates to work as room supervisors in Early Learning settings.
PROGRESSION
Graduates may progress to a range of other courses in Universities and Institutes of Technology. Some graduates seek advanced entry to Year 2 of some degree courses.

Course Charges €150 (Includes €80 QQI Certification/Examination charge)
QQI charge can be exempted for learners such as those with a SUSI grant, medical care holders or those in receipt of Back to Education Allowance or VTOS.)
